An iPad Review

Two 4G versions of the new iPad, one compatible with the AT&T network and one with the Verizon network, start at $630.

The processor has been upgraded, as expected. The iPad now uses a quad-core A5X processor, which should boost performance and lead to development of more demanding games and other apps. Combined with the addition of 4G access, apps that run over the Internet should perform even better.

The new camera appears to be similar to the one on the iPhone 4, which has a very short shutter lag and produced good pictures when photos were taken under well-lighted conditions. There’s also an HD video recorder; the iPhone’s HD recorder was among the best on smart phones as well.
